Job description / Role
To ensure to make wise purchases of goods or services for use or trade considering price quality and service for the entire NBK Group and its subsidiaries.
• Handling all purchases of material or services for the entire NBK subsidiaries
• To find prospective suppliers obtain quotation, analyzing offer, negotiation and issuing PO as per approved PR
• To ensure timely delivery of goods or services as per the PO
• To ensure all the invoices are sent to accounts for the payment after review and verification of PO & DN
• Maintain the central purchasing budget to ensure the effective monitoring and control of all purchases
• To create and maintain blanket purchase agreements on yearly basis for the regular purchases
• Quarterly evaluate and develop vendors
• Ensuring after sales services from the supplier whenever and wherever required
Requirements
University Qualifications: Diploma / Degree in Business Management
Other certifications obtained: IMS Awareness training
Nature and length of previous experience: At least 3 - 5 years experience as Purchasing Admin / Officer or Procurement Admin / Officer
Specialist knowledge: A Procurement Officer should have knowledge of supply chain, production and processing, customer and personal service, relevant tools and technology, applicable regulations and standards, administration and management, English language, other languages as required, and mathematics.
Soft Skills and Personality traits: A Procurement Officer should have the following skill sets: communication, active listening and learning, reading comprehension, coordination, judgment and decision making, organization, time management, writing, service orientation, negotiation, and mathematics.
Language Fluency: Fluency in Arabic and English
