Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Develop and maintain QPMs Quality Management System. Implement methodologies, processes and tools for quality management to ensure high quality, world class project management services to clients.

- Assist the Management Representative in the development and implementation of QPMs Quality Management System Policies and Procedures
- Coordinate the continuous improvement of management system policies/procedures that involves:
- Identifying changes required through audits and ongoing reviews
- Acting as the focal point for collecting change requests from staff and management
- Coordinating changes with identified champions by allocating priority to those having major impact/benefit
- Publish the company policies/ procedures and amendments on the intranet and publicize company wide
- Be the custodian of all original approved policies/ procedures
- Manage and conduct internal audits at the corporate level
- Participate in second party audits on service providers for prequalification/performance monitoring, where requested
- Create awareness about the quality management system at the corporate level through briefing sessions and audits
- Participate in the induction of Project Quality Managers
- Provide comprehensive training on procedures/systems where required
- Provide or generate quality management system reports required by QPM
- Provide input for management review meetings to faciliate objective decision making by the senior management
- Participate and contribute in the continual improvement initiatives taken by QPM
- Act as a focal point to provide assistance to projects in the development of various management plans and project specific procedures
- Perform the duties of a Project Quality Manager when requested.

Requirements

- 4 year degree in engineering (or construction related field). Western University
- 10 years post graduate experience in QA/QC, including 5 years on construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of QA/QC management practices, process and current technology. Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to QA/QC.
- Proven experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations.
- Proven experience as an auditor using 9000 standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly, conducts presentations to management, and interface effectively with diverse group of professionals
- Background in major projects involving iconic structures such as museums or galleries
