Job description / Role

Kentz currently have a requirement for a QAQC Coordinator /Flawless Lead. This role will be based in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical / piping background.
The role involves coordinating and participating in site Contractor inspections and project procurement equipment orders delivered to site, coordination of Flawless Project Delivery (FPD) with site Contractors and liaising with the Client and Suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the flawless system, flaw lists and flawless walk down schedule. Train Contractors regarding the flawless methodology.
- Focal point for Construction Contractors at site relating to the flawless program. Ensure the flawless program is implemented with regard to flawless walk downs, managing and capturing new flaws and ensure learnings are disseminated to the team.
- Ensure Contractor ITPs are implemented as per the control points and focal points for RFIs. Liaise with the inspectors to ensure appropriate inspection coverage.
- Develop flawless implementation plan and Flawless quality assurance plan for selected Q-Areas. Coordinate with Contractor FPD Coordinators, Q-Captains and EPCM Q-Captains in establishing flaw lists for the project.
- Review and approve Supplier/Subcontractor quality control plans, Inspection & Test plans and procedures. Review, Witness and Monitor inspection activities in accordance with the approved Suppliers/Sub-contractors quality control plans and ITPs.
- Be familiar with the requisition requirements and equipment/material specifications. Be fully familiar with the verification and inspection release processes and ensure their compliance.
- Monitor close-out of site Contractor, Supplier and Subcontractor non-conformances. Review Supplier/Subcontractor fabrication certification dossiers and MDRs.
- Report promptly to the EPCM Project QA/QC Manager all matters related to Quality Management System performance. Ensure that all quality records are identified and retained in accordance with project requirements.
- Provide performance data as requested for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- NDE Level 2 certified.
- Welding and painting inspection certification AWS/ CSWIP and NACE/BGAS.
- Mechanical / Piping background.
- Ability to cope with conflicting situations.
- Ability to give a clear presentation.
- Inspection coordination experience.
- Engineering and/or inspection background.
- Broad knowledge of construction, fabrication and inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001:2008.
- Knowledge of industry standards including ASME, NACE, API, ASTM etc,
