Job description / Role

Over the last 3 years we have successfully built up our Rail, Metro and LRT work in Qatar. We have been working on Lusail LRT since 2009 and are now committing to work until 2019. Similarly we have been working on Doha Metro since 2011 and have committed to work until 2019, expecting to extend until the World Cup in 2022. We now have a need to strengthen our local Qatar rail and metro team to meet these project requirements. We are currently looking for a degree qualified Quality Control & Assurance Coordinator with a minimum of 5+ years experience to join our team in Qatar.

QA/QC Coordinator - Rail / Metro - Doha Metro

The Opportunity
As part of our regional growth plans, we are currently looking for an experienced QA / QC Coordinator to join a team which forms part of a project team (circa 100 people) in Qatar. The QA / QC Coordinator will be a qualified professional capable of providing support and technical assistance to project team.

Principle Activities
• Manage Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2008 requirements
• Carry out Internal Quality Assurance audits to comply with our client specifications
• Monitoring and managing non-conformances
• Interface Management – Including all internal and external stakeholders.
• Management of project submissions and ensuring all QA/QC is carried out with project quality plan
• Monitoring and managing non-conformances

Requirements

Background

• An experienced Quality engineer with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi functional projects.

• Candidates who come from a design background would be preferred.

• Knowledge of project controls procedures.

• Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.

• An employment background of working with design consultancy or PMC organizations.

• They must have a minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent.

Candidates from a site/ Contractor QA/ QC background will not be considered.
