QA/QC Engineer – Elevator

As a QA/QC Engineer you will ensure you have these Key Accountabilities:

* Prepare suitable check sheets for inspection purposes.
* Provide independent reporting line to Project Manager regarding all aspects of quality.
* Advising the Project Manger of all project quality assurance and quality control aspects and interface problems that affect the disciplined operation of the project
* Verify that non-conformance reports are auctioned on a frequent and effective basis.
* Make adequate arrangements for the collation and storage of quality records. Ensure the timely submitting of materials for approval.
* Ensure maintenance of records of the construction activities. Respond to audits carried out by the Client, Consultant, and Main Contractor or AFE internal auditors.
* Arrange for the ongoing preparation of any project quality dossiers required by the Engineer at the time of contract completion.
* Arrange for the necessary procedures/method to be put in place so that all materials supplied are properly controlled and transported to site.
* Provide technical advice to the Engineers. Arrange quality meetings on selected subjects.
* Ensure that Quality is maintained on site in relation to all aspects of the project.
* Reporting to the manufacturers about short shipment, QA/QC issues, getting advise from them and incorporating at sites.

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, the following are the prerequisites:

* Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical preferable).
* Min. of 5 years in a similar role in high speed/high rise Vertical Transportation equipment
* knowledgeable of the elevators, escalators and travelators (Vertical Transportation VT) in design, materials, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance.
* Well versed with the requirements of international codes on VT as well as building codes, local codes of municipality and civil defense
