Employment: Full Time

CADG are seeking ambitious and energetic candidates for leadership roles to work on projects in Afghanistan.

Role – Manage all quality control & assurance activities at site, responsible for the implementation of quality control procedures and plans for providing the more efficient onsite construction work. He/She shall report to relevant area Construction Coordinator on a day-day basis and functionally to the QA Manager.

The role will entail seeking and ensuring compliance from AAFCE & USACE for CADG’s onsite testing facilities.

Duties will include the following;

a) Reviews and approve inspections, test plans and quality control plans from contractors
b) Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems and issues with quality assurance and control for site construction
c) Plans and coordinates QA/QC activities, making certain of quality control of the work in accordance to contract requirements
d) Supervise the activities of the quality service providers and inspectors to ensure diligent performance
e) Overall control, supervision and implementation of contract quality and technical requirements
f) Resolution of quality problems, preparation and maintenance of contract quality records.

Requirements

Applicants for the above position must possess the following skills and attributes;

a) Good Leadership Skills
b) Good verbal and written English skills
c) Must be a registered Engineer with a history of QA/QC role
d) Must be familiar with relevant QA/QC testing processes
e) Must be familiar with relevant construction codes
f) Additional QA/QC qualifications are a bonus
g) Solid experience of working in an austere environment – previous experience in Iraq or Afghanistan is an advantage
h) Must be able to work independently
i) Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment
j) Computer Skills (CAD Design Skills , MS Office Experience & Experience in working with Engineering Design Software is deemed an advantage)
