Position Summary:

This position is responsible for field coordination of assigned project work at S-Chem’s Jubail facility located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The QA/QC Field Inspector provides field leadership and insight to the projects group. The QA/QC Field Inspector assures that all projects meet design criteria for safety, reliability and performance, and are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The QA/QC Field Inspector ensures that quality processes and procedures are adhered to on our construction locations. The position provides the onsite leadership, insight and expertise required to administer the quality program during the project fabrication and construction phases.
The QA/QC Field Inspector position must maintain close relationships with EPC QA/QC Manager and on-site counterparts, Engineering Group, and Projects personnel and interact directly with local contractor fabrication shops.
Promotes proactive safety, seeks out "at risk" behaviors'' & conditions in order to achieve the overall goal of zero incidents in alignment with the Tenets of Operation, and in support for achieving Operational Excellence (OE) Compliance.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in development and implementation of the project quality program in accordance with company standards.
• Assist development and implementation of Quality and Inspection Plans
• Field contact for 3rd Party Inspection Teams for quality audits, surveillance, and assessment activities
• Lead in development and implementation of project quality audit strategies & schedules
• Participate in the process for qualification, pre-qualification, evaluation and auditing of vendors and contractors
• Provide oversight to ensure contractor, vendor, and fabricator's quality programs are being implemented and adhered to
• Support the project documentation turnover process
• Produce Quality Audit reports for project team management.
• Produce Non-conformance reports and monitor correction and close out
• Assist in the process for the review and approval of project design packages.
• Liaise with Project Field Construction Coordinators to carry out construction completion check sheets and witness field integrity tests

Requirements

• Engineering or similar technical degree and 5 + years of petrochemical plant project quality control experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 + years of chemical plant project experience. (Previous supervisory experience preferred)
• Discipline specific certification preferred (Certified Welding Inspector, etc.)
• Expertise and experience with petrochemical project work. Turnaround experience is a plus.
• Familiar with standard MS office software. (SAP experience a plus)
• Good communication skills, strong technical, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, self-starter with solid planning and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, ability to resolve conflicts with other functional groups and reach agreements.
