QA/QC Lead, Qatar – Large Scale Middle East Civil Infrastructure Projects

Our client, a well respected public works authority for the country of Qatar, is looking to immediately recruit a qualified and experienced QA/QC Lead, to participate in the growth and development of the business. With the practical completion of Qatar’s comprehensive national master plan, the state is about to embark on a major infrastructure construction campaign which will see project design and construction activity as well as job opportunities continue to grow for years to come.
Reporting to Programme Manager and working as part of the programme team, your responsibilities in the role will include:
• Day to day running of the project. The main focus being the daily management and co-ordination with our Programme management Consultants (PMC’s) of the project allocation for testing, auditing and investigations.
• Management of Oracle’s Primavera P6 management software and financial reporting for the programme
• governance and management of the newly developed quality system so that it can be successfully implemented on all Authority projects.
• Managing projects and people in technical teams overseeing the design and construction of asphalt and concrete pavements.
Requirements
Essential attributes include:
• Have proven technical and managerial skills and at least has twenty (20) years of proven, and directly related experience, in similar undertakings and positions.
• An understanding of pavement materials and associated testing regimes and requirements. The Project Manager will be expected to have knowledge of UKAS or an equivalent ISO 17025 accredited body and be totally familiar within one or more of its processes.
• Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers
• Member of the Institution of Highways & Transportation
• Member of the Institute of Asphalt Technology
• Experience in working for an international civil engineering firm(s) in key management positions, with high job stability.
