QA/QC Lead - Doha, Qatar
Leap29 are currently working closely with a Government Authority in Doha, Qatar in sourcing a candidate for the role of QA/QC Lead. The position is a Project Management role running a full team advising on all aspects of Pavement Design. This is currently a period of extensive growth and development of Qatar's infrastructure and you will be applying your knowledge of pavement design on projects throughout Qatar.
Key tasks and duties:
-You will be ultimately responsible for overseeing all the materials that are used and ensuring that they are suitable for the project.
-You will look for ways to improve and promote quality and follow through on commitments. The candidate will be able to accept responsibility for his/her own actions, uphold organisational values and work with integrity and ethics.
-Providing strategic direction and leadership to the team for the development of appropriate standards in relation to the operations of the organization
-Establishing relevant performance targets for the team, ensuring that they are realistic and support the objectives of the Company; also developing long-term plans and appropriate strategies to ensure these objectives are achieved;
Experience and Education:
-Degree in a related field from an accredited University or equivalent.
-Membership to a relevant organisation such a MICE (Institute of Civil Engineers).
-Minimum twenty (20) years of relevant and extensive experience in related role.
-Knowledge of IS0 17025, International standards, Gulf Standards, Qatar Standards and other
-Must be capable of reviewing and implementing QA/QC policies and procedures.
-Applicants should have a comprehensive understanding of Primavera P6.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as good computer skills in Microsoft Office programs are essential.
-Arabic Language skills would be an advantage
