QA/QC Manager - Stadium Project

Job description / Role

Our client is a Global Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor who have been set up in the Middle East for the last 25 years.

Due to a recent Major Project win, my client is currently recruiting for a QA/QC Manager to work on a $750m USD New Build Stadium project in Doha, Qatar as part of the States ongoing Construction plans for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The successful candidate should have similar experience in Construction QA / QC experience on projects of value above 750 million USD is preferred

This position will be responsible for:
- Preparation of Project Specific Quality Plans and approvals from Project Director / Construction head
- Review of all QAQC Procedures / QC plans and work instruction for adequacy against scope of work and revise, where required
- Identify and develop ITP, work methods and all Quality record/ report formats.
- Deployment of Method statements through Orientation / Mock ups thro QAQC Engineers /Discipline QC Inspectors
- Monitor Calibration of all testing & measuring equipment
- Obtain the subcontractors quality documentation, review and approve the same prior to the commencement of their activities.
- Communicating with all site staff about the Quality requirements as per QMS
- Promotion on awareness of customer requirements / specification through Training programs
- Facilitate materials and sample approvals from the clients/Consultants
- Incoming material inspection and QA/QC tests (other than Bulk material ) in Coordination with customer for acceptance
- Stage Inspection of field works / Vendor Works as per ITP /QAP and facilitate Customer approval
- Coordination for Third party inspection / External testing as per contract
- Documentation of Quality Reports
- Trouble shooting on Field Quality Issues
- Conducting Quality audits as per plan
- Control of Non-conformance for effective corrective action and timely disposal.
- Conducting Product Quality Assessment as per sampling plan
- Organize and conduct Management Review Meeting

Requirements

- Degree Qualified
- At least 15 years industry experience
- GCC experience advantageous but not essential
- Main Contracting experience
- QA/QC Manager on Projects worth in excess of $500m USD
