QA & QC Manager (Oil & Gas)

Our client are a large Oil & Gas business who have been operating in the Middle East for over 50years.

Due to current expansion they are looking for a new QA & QC Manager within their Dubai team.

Purpose

Reporting to the General Manager you will be required to supervise the entire quality assurance and quality control function; providing strategic leadership and vision to the department; ensuring standards are met in all the manufacturing activities being within the factory.

Responsibilities

•The ability to establish, implement & maintain appropriate QMS & Product Quality standards.
•Plan and organize the internal audit program of the Service Center. Face all external third party audits and initiate necessary Corrective & Preventive actions.
•Initiate & analyse cost of quality, customer complaints & customer compliments.
•Co-ordinate for the compiling and review of job specific quality records
•Calibration & Maintenance of measuring/testing equipments/instruments.
•Arrange and minute Quality, API & annual QMS management review meetings.
•Establish KPI’s for the Department and department staff.
•Prepare ITP, TDC, training plan & maintain API monogram plan.
•Looking after vendor appraisal & rating.
•Responsible for cost of quality, PWHT & NDT activities.
•Provides regular communication and updates about changes in O&G sector to all related.
•Implementation of Lean & HSE principles.

Requirements

•Engineering or Technical background (Degree / Diploma) with a certification in Quality management.
•A minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas sector involving Machining, Welding
•Qualified QMS Lead Auditor - IRCA registered Training Course Certificate.
•Certified Welding inspector
•NDT qualification in MT, PT, RT & UT.
•Familiar with API 6A, 16A, 16C, 16D, 5CT & 7-1 specifications.
•Experience of maintaining management systems.
•Strong product Knowledge about Blow Out Preventer’s, control systems, manifolds, Valves & rotating equipments.
•Background in documentation, calibration and inspection.
•Strong influencing skills, interpersonal, leadership skills, ability to communicate at all levels & PC and presentation skills.
•Self starter and ability to make technical decisions.
