Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The duties of the QA/QC Manager shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:

1. Conduct and / or Participate in COMPANY Quality or technical compliance audits for CONTRACTOR, Sub CONTRACTOR or VENDORS.
2. Develops and maintains up to date quality procedures and programs.
3. Review the contract documents for each Construction Package in respect of QA/QC requirements and procedures and advise the Project Manager of any deficiency.
4. Should have good technical knowledge in EPC types of contracts.
5. Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
6. Review QA/QC site organization, key personnel CV’s as submitted by the Contractors and advise the Project Manager of his comments.
7. Review QA/QC Procedures and document control as submitted by the Contractors and ensure implementation is in compliance with Contracts requirements.
8. Review of Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) as submitted by the Contractors and ensure compliance with contracts requirements.
9. Conduct periodically site visit to ensure their compliance with QA/QC procedure in respect of the format signed off by Contractor’s QA/QC Manager.
10. Ensure traceability of all materials and equipment from purchasing and up to delivery on site.
11. May participate in checking of materials and equipment as delivered on site and ensure its compliance with approved materials and specification.
12. Monitor site activities during site surveillance, fully coordinate with PMC discipline engineers, on a daily basis issuing NCR’s in case of non-compliance and reporting to Project Manager in case of shortage of skilled labourers and/or site supervision staff.
13. Participate with PMC staff in assessing concession requests and field Design Changes as submitted by Contractor.
14. Participate with PMC staff in reviewing the Closeout Report as submitted by Contractors.
15. Coordinate with all disciplines/contractor’s for QA/QC related issues.

Requirements

The QA/QC Manager shall be a qualified Engineer with minimum of 15 years experience in QA/QC works in similar Projects out of a minimum of 20 years overall experience. He should be registered lead Auditor and / or Internal Auditor and shall be aware of all ISO 9000 series requirements.
