Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The job will entail the deconstruction of an existing 20,000 seat reinforced concrete football stadium in Doha, Qatar. Key aspects of this contract are the requirements for recycling and sustainable deconstruction with a high percentage of demolition material diverted from landfill, the highest expectations and requirements with respect to Health & Safety, a significant focus on Worker Welfare and a need for timely completion of the contract and within budget.

The deconstruction contract is expected to run for up to 12 months, including mobilization and pre construction planning and settling the final account.

The deconstruction package is likely to be followed by further early works packages and will be followed by a main construction contract of around 3 year's duration.

The QA/QC Manager will be required to:
* Monitoring and analysis of external Client feedback, and reporting to Directors on trends as areas for improvement
* Feedback and review internal and external audit findings and report on non-conformities and areas for improvement
* Liaising with 3rd Party Assessors to maintain assessment and surveillance of the QMS for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008
* Maintenance of core QMS documentation including Quality Manual and Operational Procedures and placement on company Intranet
* Arrange the issue of Project Plans
* Maintenance of standard forms and templates
* Maintenance of supporting technical manuals and handbooks and standardised project deliverable templates e.g. specifications, reports etc., and placement on company Intranet
* Administration of internal audit programme in all offices and monitoring of corrective actions Ensuring the internal audit programme covers the full scope of the quality system and a fair balance of project activities and staff
* Reporting on a monthly basis to Directors with six monthly detailed reviews and analysis of Quality Management System (QMS) operations
* Induct all new starters on the QMS, manuals and process applied in the company
* Carry out tasks and duties in a positive manner and always be approachable to other members of staff
* Be skilled at influencing and motivating people at all levels
* Set an example to all staff by demonstrating compliance with the company's procedures and policies and operate within the company controls
* Actively address problem issues, working with others to find practical solutions.

Requirements

The successful candidate is required to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, and at least 10 years experience (including experience in the Middle East) in the industry. An excellent grasp on the English language is essential.
