Job description / Role
A leading company in the industry of designing and manufacturing pumps and anciallary equipment for the upstream and downstream oil and gas markets are looking for a QA/QC Planner in Basra, Iraq.
Candidate is required to perform all planned QC/Inspection activities for workshop jobs and prepare necessary QC reports.
Candidate to perform in-house calibration of measuring/testing instruments at planned intervals.
Candidate will be responsible for the planning of contracts, including preparation of routers, purchase requisitions, production schedules, liaison with sub contractors and service providers, from order handover through to completion and preparation for delivery.
Modify processes to improve productivity and to meet customer specifications.
Coordinate with workshop foreman and carry out necessary inspection/QC checks of workshop job orders and prepare necessary stage inspection reports.
Witness pressure tests carried out by the production supervisors for the workshop jobs.
Be responsible for the final inspection and release of workshop job orders after ensuring all QC activities are completed as per the documentation and final inspection check sheet.
Perform in-hose calibration of linear measuring instruments and calibration of in-house pressure gauges.
Notify HSEQ Manager the calibration status of measuring or testing instruments to be calibrated externally and keep current as per planned frequencies.
Requirements
Mechanical Engineer with diploma and 5 years experience in similar field/position.
Familiar with any two of the following: API 6A, 16A, 16C, 16D, 5CT & 7-1
Thorough knowledge of precision measuring/testing instruments used in machine shops including portable hardness testers and thread gauges.
Ability to interpret machine shop drawings and understand machining symbols and tolerance limits.
Salary AED 12,5000 depending on experience.
