The RoleThe RoleBased in Contractor's Yard in Abu Dhabi (UAE), requires a suitably qualified and experienced QC & Welding Inspector. The Job Responsibilities Material identification verification against MTCs. Assure welding parameters in accordance with pre-approved WPSs, PQRs and utilisation of pre-approved welders. Monitor fit-up and welding related activities. Review NDE activities (RT, UT, MPI & DP). Review piping test packs and witness piping hydrostatic testing in accordance with Project pre-appraised specifications requirements. Witness visual, dimensional & level examinations as directed /notified by GPC/DY in accordance with pre-approved ITPs and Project Pre-appraised specifications requirements. |
RequirementsRequirementsTECHNICAL AUTHORISATION REQUIRED: MODU New Construction supported by in-hand QC experience records. Topside Modules New Construction supported by in-hand QC experience records. NDE Level-II ASNT-TC-1A (all methods) or equivalent. CSWIP or equivalent. COMPETENCY REQUIRED: Hands-on use of Material standards. Hands-on welding, parameters, qualifications and visual examination. Acquaintance of construction Codes & Standards. Acquaintance of DNV Offshore Rules. Acquaintance of Canada Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB) regulatory requirements. |
