Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An exciting opportunity as QHSE Engineer has arisen for one of my clients; a UK headquartered production technology and services company for the energy industry. The company specializes in exploration, production, drilling and infrastructure technical solutions and services and employs almost 2000 people worldwide.

Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
- Provide timely & accurate HSE advice & support to all functions
- To ensure that HSE risks are identified, assessed and managed for all project activities in order to ensure that a safe and high quality project execution
- Ensuring that all work activities are implemented in accordance with the QHSE Policies and Procedures and industry best practices where applicable
- Considering ways for continuous improvement of HSE performance
- Overall HSE supervision at shop floor.
- Responsible to plan, promote and implement HSE awareness in shop floor.
- Maintain and guidance to the people for completes 5s in entire the facility.
- Accident / incident reporting.
- Waste Management process and disposal.
- Safety induction and control of sub-contractor and visitors.
- Participating all Tool Box Talks and promote and implement good ideas.
- Maintain the records and co-ordinate the action plan in Observation card system.
- Organize the HSE champion meeting on every month.
- Periodic review and prepare the Risk Assessment /JSAs.
- Providing advice and whenever necessary hands on support to the Contractors in related activities as Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, environmental monitoring and Incident Investigation and analysis
- HSE sign boards for more alert in specified areas for people.
- Maintaining and coordinating with TPI for all lifting equipment’s on frequency basis.
- Approval and renewal of certificates from government authorities.

QHSE Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
- Apply Company, and where appropriate Client Company’s, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Safety Management Systems
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded

Requirements

Qualifications
Education
Preferred
- Diploma/Degree in any discipline or HSE
- IOSH trained – managing safely

Experience
Essential
- 5 plus years’ experience of Operations in the O&G Industry
- HSE audit and investigation skills
- Conversant with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc) with good verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- A good working knowledge of the applicable HSE Codes, Standards and Legal requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to create friendly working environment
