QHSE Management Systems Engineer

Job description / Role

STR Global working with an International and local JV partnership that specialize in Gas production and supply is recruiting for a QHSE Management Systems Engineer for a permanent position in Qatar.

Reporting directly into the HSEQ/IMS Manager, the QHSE Management Systems Engineer is responsible for:

• Establishing a yearly HSE, IMS and training plans
• Reporting on HSE statistics and incidents to internal and external recipients
• Reporting on IMS statistics and non-conformities to internal and external recipients
• Assisting in the implementation of all OP, EP, MP and TP
• Performing the overall document controlling
• Performing regulatory compliance control in the sections set by the regulatory control program
• Assisting in HSE supervision on site and conducting monthly HSE meetings
• Providing HSE trainings to all employees
• Conducting Root Cause Analysis on HSEQ incidents
• Assisting in Job Hazard Analysis and HSE Risk revisions of MOC’s
• Conducting HSE and IMS internal auditing

Requirements

Experience

• At least three years' experience in HSE activities, or three years' experience in an industrial or Industrial gas business

Knowledge / Technical Skills

• Thorough understanding of applicable HSE standards, mandatory regulations, concepts & trends
• Basic knowledge or some experience of Risk Assessment fluent in English and Arab
• Excellent listening, observation and communication skills with the ability to motivate staff
• Excellent analytical, planning and anticipation skills
• Practical approach for applying HSE management systems, procedures, methods and tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor and / or Engineering degree(s) in safety or similar field or equivalent based on past operational experience.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certificates preferred
• Risk Management Representative (RMR Training) beneficial
• Industrial Management System (IMS) beneficial
• Root Cause Analysis training (RCA ) beneficial

Salary Package:

Base Monthly Salary ranges between QAR 25 - 30,000/- + Medical + Annual Airfare + Bonus
