Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This position is responsible to lead the overall Quality Assurance function in the Middle East Asia region, inclusive of site quality performance, quality management system (QMS) deployment, and continuous improvement with an emphasis on customer requirements, operational excellence, risk management and contractual compliance.

This position works collaboratively with customers, the site level operations, sales and business development to attain desired engineering, environment and economics objectives and goals. Lead the development and execution of functional programs such as the performance scorecard program. The position also coordinates planning and execution of supplier development, transitions, and oversight activities in the region.

Key responsibilities include:
- Determine the operational excellence performance requirements and objectives for site operations.
- Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) that supports corporate and site level strategic goals and objectives.
- Engage to develop plans towards improving various facets of service delivery performance.
- Establish a framework and reporting system to effectively collaborate with the site and HQ leadership levels.
- Achieve the functional quality performance objectives prescribed within the Quality Management Standards.
- Meet and exceed customer quality performance objectives and contractual obligations compliance levels by leading and directing improvement plans that encompass both site operations, business processes and the supply chain.
- Assure that progress is tracked using appropriate performance metrics, and execute actions to meet objectives and desired outcomes.
- Facilitate quality functional expertise and knowledge sharing in the areas of regulatory compliance, QMS-based processes and procedures, and auditing. Act as the company's Management Representative and single point of contact during certification body or external third party led audits.
- Lead all internal audit activities to ensure compliance and continual improvement initiatives are undertaken.
- Manage quality, environment, health and safety and asset management related requirements as defined by definitive agreements, legal, regulatory and industry standards including internal company procedures and guidelines.
- Challenge the status quo by developing, revising, and implementing policies and processes that promote quality system standardization and continuous improvement.
- Provide direction and oversight to the achievement and sustainment of required quality system certifications.
- Reinforce QMS compliance, drive accountability across the various project sites.
- Take ownership and decisive actions to correct known non compliances, with an emphasis on systemic and preventive remedial measures.
- Ensure that audit programs are in place and that audit findings are addressed in accordance with the QMS.
- Lead and manage performance improvement metrics and continual risk mitigation efforts.
- Ensure that processes and systems are in place to sustain regulatory, contractual and government compliance.
- Define and implement quality continuous improvement initiatives, including: customer satisfaction surveys, incident prevention and increasing productivity by implementing plans and actions to reduce costs of poor service quality.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline and 10 years of experience; or 15 years of directly related experience.

Applicable and detailed work experience in the following areas is required: Facilities / Asset Management, Manufacturing/Assembly Operations, Quality, Engineering (Design or Manufacturing), Materials Management, Six Sigma/continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be an energetic leader, with proven ability to manage and oversee multiple project sites and drive change through strong interpersonal and problem resolution skills.

The candidate is able to effectively interact with individuals of all disciplines across various levels within and across the organization.
- Supports core business processes, resource management and operational planning (AOP).
- Ability to think strategically and critically analyze details. Capable of consistently taking the initiative to get things accomplished.
- Demonstrated application of the appropriate leadership style to maximize performance given the situation.
- Is adept at understanding multiple data inputs, intuitively assimilating seemingly disparate information and providing clear decisions/direction.
- Experienced in evaluating people's strengths and improvement areas, and capable of mentoring and coaching people to take of advantage of their strengths and address areas requiring improvement.
- Work effectively with employees, customers, and owners to facilitate operational excellence programs.
- Supports business development efforts and decisions to procure, manufacture and deliver products and services efficiently and effectively.
- Able to understand commercial and financial aspects of the core services
- Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or Lean Expert certification preferred but is not a pre-requisite.
- A Professional Certification (ASQ-CQE/CQM) will differentiate the successful candidate, but is not required for consideration. Knowledge of industry standards and practices applicable to the facilities / asset management, maintenance and repair operations is desirable.
