Job description / Role
The Role:
Responsible for all quality issues relating to food safety, product specifications and hygiene throughout Alshaya owned production facilities. Accountable for setting quality assurance policies, compliance procedures and audit measures within the guidelines provided by Alshaya and relevant country laws. Ensure compliance to Host Brand Quality Assurance standards for suppliers. Accountable for management of Quality Assurance staff at the Production Facilities and for compliance to all ISO, HACCP and Food Safety standards. Generate reports, documents and information that allow the Production Manager to more effectively manage the business from a Food Safety perspective. Actively manage any product recalls that occur on products from this facility. Train staff on day to day Food Safety standards and compliance. Responsible for managing Quality Complaints from customers and ensure an appropriate report with findings is completed. Interact with other Quality Assurance Managers on common issues within the business.
You will:
* Lead Quality and Safety Assurance activities necessary to achieve business objectives in the production facility.
* Provide functional expertise & execute functional responsibilities.
* Create and implement product traceability inspection criteria and procedures.
* Monitor and understand the Customer, market trends and competitor activity that should be adopted in order to gain competitive advantage.
Qualifications & Requirements:
You will have/be:
* Experience in Food manufacturing.
* Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
* Minimum 4-5 years' work experience in a similar role.
* Ability to conduct manufacturing audits.
* Familiar with best practice within a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of managing a team.
