Job description / Role
- Assists in developing quality assurance policies and procedures with the Engineering Management Department.
- Participate in the Sewerage Treatment Plants annual budget preparation; administer and control the adopted budget.
- Communicates quality related issues such as treated water, with process and maintenance engineers, laboratory personnel, other Departments, the general public, and contractors.
- Adheres to the standard techniques, which have been developed and communicated by the Engineering Department, so that all samples collected are properly preserved and identified for submittal to the laboratory for analysis; May conduct a variety of chemical, biochemical and bacteriological tests.
- Maintains quality control records (checklists, logbooks, and laboratory workbooks); supervises the processing of data into the Statistical Process Control software, prepares main inspection reports and interprets results.
- Performs quality audits and manages the inspection of incoming materials and supplies; prepares material receiving reports, such as Chlorine and Chemical supplies for the operation of the plant.
- Investigates water/sludge complaints as a first-line customer service responded in coordination with the Process Engineer; Supervises quality tests, analyzes and reports results, and coordinates remedial action as appropriate.
Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, with background in Biology
- 10 years experience in Quality Management System
- Certified by ICRA to QMS ISO 9000 / 14000
- Gulf experience is required
- Experience with consulting /Contracting firms is required
