Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Ensures that the gases produced and filled comply with the standards.
• Ensures that the quality control laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and each batch of gases filled is analyzed as per standards. The operations are to be managed in strict compliance with the HSE and quality parameters.
• Carries out batch inspections for all filled cylinders.
• Maintains the quality control laboratory so that all the equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

• Conducts non – routine analysis if required by the customer (agreed upon by sales).
• Issues certificates to customers on the product purity and impurity levels.
• Prepares gas mixtures as scheduled by sales forecast or as per sales requirement.
• Participates in the analysis and taking corrective measures for closing customer complaints.
• Visits customer sites and performs tests for the set up of the system if required by sales i.e. valves, regulators and purging jobs.
• Performs first line checks in the plant and involves the maintenance foreman for any maintenance related issues.
• Other responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements

Degree in Chemistry or either 14 yrs of technical education.
3 – 5 years experience required in working with gas chromatograms, various gas analyzers and detectors, with a history of achievements.
Good understanding of gases and conversions with different units.
Active and energetic personality with pleasant disposition and should not have any physical disorders which might hinder the job.
