Quality Engineer

Job description / Role

In charge of Project Quality (onsite) by monitoring the effectiveness and in compliance with the Project Quality Assurance system via planned audits ( in Project Management Plan), advising the Project Manager on Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) matters.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor the effectiveness and requirements of the works through Quality Assurance.
- Monitor the conformance of the Task quality by Quality Control as per Project Management Plan.
- Oversee the implementation and operation of the project quality plan, manage and maintain the quality inspections of the workplace in project conducted both by the company and the client, liaising with client auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with specifications of them.
- Ensure that sub-contractors comply with works' specifications.
- Establish and maintain procedures derived from and appropriate with Project Management Plan to develop standard documentation for all tasks, quality control and assurance for the projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that the approved Project Quality Plan is effectively implemented in the Project and the inspection and test results are properly documented.
- Ensure review of sub-contractors procedures and plans.
- Liaise with Client/Engineer for the conduct of day-to-day Quality related activities of the Project.
- Coordinate all inspection and test requirements of the project at all stages of process as per the Inspection & Test Plan and contract requirements.
- Ensure the pertinent records of inspection and testing are compiled and maintained until the end of the contract and coordinate for sending all pertinent records for retention to the document storage (Project Folder), on completion of the Project.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly quality reports and submit to Quality Manager twice a month.
- Maintain calibration records for Inspection, Measuring & Test Equipment used in the Project.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment being used in the project Tasks is compliance with the contract requirements.
- Ensure proper tools are being used along with the list of tool is available in the tool kits onsite
- Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding work performance and shall immediately bring to the attention of Project Manager by issuing an NCR in any area where discrepancies remain uncorrected, and shall close out NCR upon satisfactory correction of noted deficiencies.
- Assist the Project Manager and team in installations or technical work, whenever requested.

Requirements

- BE in Electronics / Communication/ Electrical
- Min 2 to 3 years of Experience in Telecom / ICT Industry
- Strategic thinking skills
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Leadership skills
- MS Office Applications proficient including MS Project and MS Visio.
- English language written/writing/spoken, Arabic language is plus.
- Saudi Driving license
