Job description / Role
The principle purpose of this role is to provide support and direction to the business in maintaining the systems for Safety Management, Environmental Management and Quality Control
This will include the analysis of risk, the setting of objectives, training and awareness, and monitoring and review.
The QHSE manager needs to maintain a broad and strategic focus on the business Safety, Environmental and Quality systems. They will need to bring their experience and knowledge in the three areas to support training and education of the teams.
The role will be responsible for coordinating a periodic review into the effectiveness of these systems and developing improvement plans in response to any gaps or non-conformances identified.
In addition to the aim of continuous improvement through risk reduction the SHEAR systems must also be maintained to satisfy Saint-Gobain group and local regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Qualification in a technical degree and post graduate qualification as registered Safety Officer.
- Working experience as SHE Officer in manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to ISO19001 or similar quality system
