One of the well reputed multinational engineering consultancies has seen continuous success in the Middle East region over the past few years. Recently having won an infrastructure project in Qatar, they are in need of a Quality Management System (QMS) Manager to work along with the delivery team on this project.

The QMS (Quality Management System) Manager is responsible for the leadership, development and coordination of the QMS and team for the company. The role holder will also be responsible for championing the maintenance and the continuous reviewing and improving of the Project and QMS. Reporting to the Project Manager you will manage the development and improvement of the Quality Management System including review, re-design and implementation of related organizational change management. Your responsibilities also include:

• Working with the Project Director and Project Manager develop the Quality Management System including the ongoing management of the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) for the project
• Liaise with the Project Director to plan a schedule of internal and external audits as required
• Review and plan resource requirements to allow for the production of planned quality audits
• Plan and conduct QMS management review meetings as required by the standard. Chair the meeting and present the status of the corrective and preventive actions
• Plan and execute internal quality audits at specified intervals. Lead and support the Internal Auditors for executing the internal audits
• Communicate the audit findings and identify areas where procedures will require improvement or additional training
• Organise and conduct QMS training programmes for the project and across company’s ME offices
• Prepare quality non-compliance registers as required
• Monitor the status of non-conformities, support and follow up to close out
• Organise meetings to review the current processes, identify the process gaps and take appropriate measures to fill the gaps for efficient operation
• Prepare and maintain a schedule of authority, qualifications and experience of personnel assigned to design verification, to audit activities, and to inspection and testing activities

Requirements

To be considered, you will be degree qualified in a technical or related discipline from a western university with a minimum of 10 years experience - you will be able to demonstrate extensive experience as a Quality Manager, knowledge of and experience in the implementation and management of ISO quality systems, auditing experience and thorough knowledge of all applications in the Microsoft Office Suite. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to work autonomously.

This is a role requiring a combination of strategic thinking and practical application in which you will be assisted by your comprehensive understanding of the principles of GMP, TQM & Risk Management principles. As importantly, you will have a passion for people and building genuine relationships, which will be demonstrated by your enthusiastic, energetic approach.
