The Role


The Role


Job Objective: A Unique opportunity to become a key Manager within an expanding corporate HSSEQ Department. The Individual will provide direction and development of Quality System activities across all Milaha business operations and the provision of advice to management to enable decision making processes. This includes the development of internal policy, procedure, and standards; achieving and maintaining certification standards; and the monitoring and auditing of business unit implementation processes. The implementation of these processes shall ensure compliance to relevant Qatari Government legislation, international standards, and industry best practice.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop medium / short-term plans and programs to accomplish Quality System strategies at corporate and business unit levels
• Develop and maintain systems which will allow for the achievement of international standard certification, including but not limited to ISO 9001 and ISM requirements,
• Monitors Quality System management activities across Milaha Business Units in Compliance with the Qatar legislation, international codes and standards, and industry best practice.
• Design and develop Quality System policy, procedure and guidance documents to enable process implementation.
• Act as a point of contact to corporate decision makers and provide advice on effective Quality Systems.
• Advice Quality Managers across Milaha’s business units with regard to relevant policies and procedures and provide support with implementation when needed.
• Monitor Milaha’s business units’ Quality performance through inspections and audits to identify implementation progress, areas for improvement, and encourage implementation consistency
• Monitor improvement initiatives, such as Quality audits, gap analyses, performance indicators and management reviews, and identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
• Update existing Quality system documentation to meet additional requirements and develop new process flows
• Supervise subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results

Competencies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality or Industrial Engineering or equivalent or appropriate industry experience.
• Certified auditor in ISO 9001.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management processes, system development and implementation.
• At least 10 years of experience in Quality related position, 5 of which in managerial level.
• Strong Leadership qualities, technical skills are required.
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Local candidates preferred.
