Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job description / Role

Following a recent meeting with General Manager and Factory Operations Manager we have been tasked with sourcing an excellent food manufacturing Quality Manager who will be to develop and implement all quality management standards for a fast moving, high risk product food manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia.

You will be responsible for leading a team of three direct reports alongside a larger number of indirect junior employees in order to develop and execute total quality, hygiene and product safety systems in order to uplift and achieve company brand recognition and reputation within the market.

This is a strategic appointment and as such the senior management have provided a strong tax free remuneration package. This includes up to 30,000 SAR per month with housing allowance, transport allowance & bonus potential. You will also receive an annual flight back to your home country per year plus private medical and life insurance.

Requirements

Our client is a leading bakery manufacturing business that produces a number of products for a variety of routes to market including retail & foodservice. As such candidates who have worked within a bakery manufacturing facility with fully automated, semi automated lines would be ideal. However, if you have worked within similar industries then we would consider your profile.

As you will be working at a management level it is expected that you have excellent people management and leadership qualities. You will be expected to influence and work alongside several functions in order to create exceptional quality standards. You will report into the Deputy General Manager who is keen to bring in expertise within this function and provide decision making autonomy and responsibility to this appointment.

As Quality Manager / Technical Manager you will have significant experience working within a food manufacturing environment with various ISO and quality standards as well as all the regular HACCP expectations for working in such a facility. It would also be preferred if you had an industry relevant educational platform and have worked within Europe, North America or South Africa.
