Quantity Surveyor (Senior) / Commercial Manager

The person will be working for our client who is a large Irish/UK contractor, who have won a multi- million dollar contract to fit-out the interior of a 40 floor tower in Riyadh. They have been operating in the Gulf for several years and currently enjoying planned growth.

The Candidate:

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the Commercial / Quantity Surveying functions of the contract to maximise commercial success and profitability.

Main Tasks and Duties:
•Responsible for the effective management of all resources on site to ensure project completion on time, to specification and within budget.
•Establishing, monitoring and maintaining reporting arrangements, resources and client relationships to ensure the smooth running of the project.
•Providing pre-tender advice on contractual conditions, establishing project budgets, developing timely reporting systems, through to final accounts.

Requirements

Experience Required:

•At least 8 years’ experience in a Senior Quantity Surveying or Commercial Manager role within a construction or contracting environment.

Essential Skills, Aptitudes & Qualifications:
•A broad knowledge of construction contracts
•Excellent leadership and communication skills.
•Good commercial and business acumen and IT literacy.
•A third level qualification in a construction related discipline; preferably Quantity Surveying.
