Job description / Role
A position is available for a cost estimator / quantity surveyor in an environmental contracting company.
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Preparing cost estimates.
- Undertaking feasibility studies;
- Performing risk, value management; and cost controlling;
- Advising on procurement strategy;
- Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders;
- Allocating work to subcontractors;
- Providing advice on contractual claims;
- Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Preparation of interim payment certificates.
- Preparation of final accounts.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5-years experience
- Proficient in building up rates
- Preferable experienced in the Middle East and in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
