Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

Reporting To : Group General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the building construction and other civil engineering projects that the company is undertaking.
• Prepare estimates and costs of the work.
• Keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and ensure that everything comply with the project brief and timescale, budget estimates, all relevant legislation and regulations and policies.
• Seek to minimize costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Requirements

• Graduate of Civil Engineering/Architecture or equivalent
• At least 6 years of work experience in the same capacity
• Extensive knowledge in electromechanical, architectural, structural and civil works
• Knowledgeable in preparing bills of quantities, schedule or work specification, contract documentation and costing.
• Should have experience in contract administration
