As the Quantity Surveyor you will report to and support the Senior QS in managing the financial aspects of the contractor's daily activities, monitoring and reporting on financial progress, payment applications, final accounts, reconciliations and evaluation of claims and variations and measurement of the works commensurate with requirements of the Contract. You will representing the interests of the Client and assist the Resident Engineer in the duties and obligations defined in the Contract.

The project comprises two main, but interconnected, elements of work:
1. The construction of a 3km section of new canal waterway (width 80 and 100m) to link the existing section of canal to the coast in Dubai.
2. The construction of a coastal peninsular using the material from the canal excavation together with coastal protection works, beach construction together with the construction of a new Coastal Marina.
The canal element of the project will cross 3 major transportation corridors, pass through existing residential areas and require the coordination and liaison with other contractors, constructing the bridge works under a separate contacts but for the same client.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Reports to the Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Measurement of the works for the purpose of payment
- Assist in the evaluation of claims and variations
- Assist in the preparation of payment certificates
- Monitoring of financial progress
- Assisting the Senior QS in performing their duties

Requirements

- Relevant Degree from an recognised university
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of the Contract on large projects
- Direct experience of working with RTA would be an advantage

Degree Required
- Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
