Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Researches previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
2. Preparations of Bill of Quantities (Pre Show).
3. Standardizing the Bill of Quantities (Pre Show) and costing procedures.
4. Providing sales/Production with accurate costing within the deadline.
5. Providing technical support to Sales team to ensure that details are properly conveyed to client and if required attend client meetings.
6. Site visit before presenting costs to clients.
7. Maintaining up to date historical cost data to enable estimating to be more of a science than relying on persons experience.
8. Keep an up to date record of pricing required which is continuously updated.
9. Reviewing of sub contractors for each job.
10. Reviewing of invoice of subcontractors.
11. Identify new subcontractors and suppliers to effect cost reductions without effecting quality.
12. Ensure that existing subcontractors and suppliers comply to our quality standards.
13. Regular site visits once the job is confirmed to ensure recording of VOs and to check quality of work of appointed subcontractors.
14. Provide Materials procurement list for each job if specified.
15. To bring in more transparency to costing procedures.
16. Develops new data from photogrammetric records.
17. Determines methods and procedures for establishing or re-establishing survey control.
18. Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
19. Coordinates findings with work of architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with project.

Requirements

Plans, organizes, and directs work for department engaged in events with respect to actual surveying and cost estimation by performing required duties.

Must have prior experience in costing, QS, preparing BOQ, opening jobs, estimation.
