Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

* Inter department liaison to resolve and close actions.
* Prepare commercial reports, recommendations, data analysis and KPIs.
* Provide assistance in verifying claims, payments, variations, contractual issues for projects.
* Support in the contract administration of multiple contracts.
* To work as part of the Expressway Department team in delivering the functions required of that department, as may be requested by the Manager of the Expressway Department. Ensure accurate and timely administration of contract terms & conditions, tender circulars and pricing in pre contract period.
* Monitor the cycle for contract proposals through contract to award.
* Ensure contract document processing procedures are completed in a timely manner.
* Prepare reports for contract status, performance analysis, contract terms tracking,
contract provisions and interpret reports/data for contract management.
* To continually seek and capture lessons learned from the cost, financial, and procurement processes and use this intelligence to alter the process, tools and systems in order to improve the approach to delivering the program.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelors degree in in Quantity Surveying, Procurement or Construction Management from recognized University.
* Education qualification shall be obtained from North America, West Europe,Australia or equivalent University.
* Minimum 8 years previous experience in similar industry.
* Preference with experience in large professional quantity surveying (PQS) or client organizations.
* Computer knowledge related to Quantity Surveying field.
* Knowledge of range of BoQ, cost estimate, contract term and condition, certify claim, variation order.
* Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
* Must be able to work on own initiative.
* Ability to understand information from a number of different perspectives to ensure both the engineering and customer perspectives are taken into consideration when building solutions
* Flexible communication skills to be able to deal with customers and stakeholders as well as contractors and engineers.
* Must be able escalate issues with evidence to management to resolve in acceptable timescales.
* Relationship skills to work with Inter Department Section and other Department within Ashghal Management to build common understanding and ensure delivery of customer focussed solutions.
