Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Assist Project Procurement Manager to set up and Establish Project, specific procurement and contracting guidelines and participates in negotiations with KH and vendors protect KH/QPM's interests.
- Lead and manage timely and effective procurement activities at assigned Project site, Coordinating with the Procurement and Contracts Manager and ensuring compliance to contracting policies and procedures and ensuring effective monitoring of all contractual terms and conditions related to at all stages of Project.
- Coordinate with all project parties to collate project status report.
- Oversee and manage statistical analysis to identify cost variances of project status against cost baseline using EVMs and calculate Cost Performance Index (CPI).
- Preparing and Sharing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Sharing performing to risk, value management and cost control with Procurement and Contract Manager.
- Advising on procurement strategy.
- Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Preparing and analyzing costings for tenders.
- Allocating work to subcontractors.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
- maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that forecasts are modified which result from significant deviations from scheduled baselines.
- Monitor project cost schedule and implement risk management approaches as decided by Project Controls Manager and KH.
- Analyse trends from past project reports and proactively deploy tools to prevent failures with the help of updated lesson learned documentation.
- Ensure appropriate usage and application of the Project Management System (PMS) LTTH QS? JD Feb 2015 with respect to entry and analysis of work related data for day to day functioning to facilitate seamless communication of all relevant (technical/non?technical) information across the organisation on a real time basis for maximum effectiveness.
- Interface with consultant, Project Team members for issues related to cost activities.
- Coordinate with Project Manager /Project Procurement Manager / Cost Manager for resolution of project Procurement issues.
- Coordinate with Contracts Team on issues and strategies related to variations and disputed claims.
- Synergize with the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects are meticulously commissioned to deliver world class standards of quality
- Attend meeting with KH for all aspects project progress.
- Advise Project Procurement Manager and Cost Manager /KH on schedule variances and potential project risks and suggest and get approvals on remedial actions.
- Interface with Project Procurement Manager and Cost Manager and KH to respond to queries on project procurement aspects.
- Meet KH through QPMs Project Procurement / Cost Manager as requested to obtain feedback on QPMs project procurement control methodologies and incorporate the same for improvements.
- Calculate and analyse Cost Performance Index (CPI).
- Analyse critical path changes to sort?out any cost implication.
- Sharing and Prepare project progress cost reports.
- Sharing and Prepare analyse cost variance reports and coordinate with Project Manager / Project Procurement Manager / Project Controls Manager / Cost Manager for appropriate corrective and preventive action.
- Supervise and assist in the preparation of the project progress cost reports.
- Prepare other reports as advised by the Project Manager.
- Appropriately archive all project progress QS/Cost data as per QPMs policy.

Requirements

- An Engineering Degree from a reputable University is required within the ideal candidate and qualifications such as RICS would be an advantage.
- 10+ years experience along with experience of working within a Project Management Consultancy or an Engineering Consultancy is requested.
- As this project is focused on the hospitality sector, a strong experience of working on Luxury hotels is expected.
