Job description / Role
A well reputed regional interior fit-out specialist is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor with previous Retail Interior Fit-Out experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical specification, estimation, cost analysis and B.O.Q. The candidate should also be capable of compiling quantities/estimates on spreadsheets and have knowledge of site surveys, execution and methods.
• Interpreting and understanding tender information
• Assessing the project and organising Sub-Contract enquiries/quotations
• Assembling costs/rates and preparing net estimate for review by senior management
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Finalising tender submission documents for clients
• Post-tender and post-contract analysis and review/feedback when required
• Attending pre-award meetings and assisting in negotiations with clients
• Working with the Operations Manager to ensure estimates and tender intentions are effectively communicated
• Assisting the Operations Manager during the early stages of the project
Requirements
• Experience in post contract Quantity Surveying functions is essential.
• Prior experience in interior fit-out and joinery estimation is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous GCC experience.
• Min. 2-3 years commercial interiors/refurbishment experience.
• Degree/Diploma or any certificate course in civil engineering / interior designing/architecture.
• Should have strong organization skills.
• Candidate must be self-motivated.
• A good team member.
