Quarries Manager

Job description / Role

Responsible for Quarries Assigned Its operations, efficiency, safety and management.

Requirements

Graduate or Post Graduate in Geology or Mining or Mining Technology. If not suitably qualified, the candidate's experience will have to be a rich and in-depth in marble industry to meet the expectations of the role.

- A tleast 10 yrs. to max 15 yrs. of hands-on experience in identification of marble quarries in India/Gulf, and,
- Must have driven end-to-end operations and other activities related to production, operational efficiency & safety in ensuring efficient and effective operations of quarries.
- Must have handled multiple quarries and large teams at different locations at the same time.
- Must have sound knowledge on quarry identification, preparation of quarry for extraction, assessing quality of raw material/product, planning & operations of the quarry and for selection of machine to be used in marble quarry for safe and efficient operations.
- Must have handled start-up operations of Quarry and driven the Quarry team(s) to deliver on time, plus must be aligned to support Factory Production team in a start-up project.
- Must have capability to draw out strategic production plans and implement the plans for efficient & safe operations for each quarry.
- Must be a strong Team leader capable of driving multiple teams to get the teams to deliver it best for the Factory Production dept.
- Must have capability of hiring and developing teams to support growth of operations.
- Must be a strong Administrator of the teams thru Quarry Masters at multiple quarries to deliver the expectations of the business alongwith safe operations agenda.
- Must have good knowledge of best practices in mining and sound understanding of maintenance schedule for machines to drive the same in the team while managing the quarry production schedule to meet business requirement.
- Work experience multi-cultural teams in the Gulf, Middle East will be an added advantage.
- Strong skills in managing operational cost and controlling manpower/teams.
- Strong Communication and Presentation skills to align with teams, peers and business leadership team.
