Job description / Role
ABOUT CLIENT:
One of the largest drilling contractors in the Middle East, providing its customers with quality drilling, workover and well maintenance services.
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Manage all aspects of the operation and safety of the rig to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability
Implement and enforce Company policies and procedures to ensure the rig is, at all times, operated in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with Company, client, and statutory requirements and regulations
Ensure the rig team have the leadership capability to deliver the contract's business plan
Monitor the general efficiency of the operation and initiate improvement programmes where required.
Advise management of any proposals for improving the efficiency or safety of the rig.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5-10 years solid operational drilling experience on offshore rigs in SE Asia
3-5 years experience as Rig Manager, OIM and / or Barge Engineer
Offshore medical certificate or equivalent as well as other relevant certificates
