The RoleThe RoleAs the Radio Planning Department Head, the role-holder is required to lead the radio planning Department towards the company targets mission and vision,overcome challenges in 2G/3G/Wimax/LTE planning and design area, to ensure radio network plans and dimensions according to commercial/business requirements and the rollout plan & license obligations,ensure coverage plans and network quality to be the first among the competitors and innovative and appealing to the Nawras customer base, set and ensure 2G/3G/Wimax/LTE network requirements in terms of capacity and coverage enhancements,lead, control and manage RFPs, RFQ & SOWs including BOQ, lead, coordinate, control, manage and finalise the projects with best possible solutions for benefit of company, to build RAN strategy for different domains, support and ensure to have clear and optimised spending plans for CAPEX and OPEX, leading, managing, handling and controlling projects, teams and tasks with interaction other departments into cross functional structure and enrich planning experience within the department.The role holder will be responsible of leads RAN strategies development and ensures that different strategies are aligned with commercial plans, market trends and technology evolution, Coordinates the development of RAN strategies related to spectrum, network evolution and roadmap to new technologies, dimensions and plans the Radio Network according to commercial, marketing, business, license obligations and budget requirements. Provides radio network plans according agreed timeliness to related departments and parties. Ensure that 2G/3G/Wimax/LTE network KPI targets are achieved according the design criteria's, ensure coverage and capacity requirements are achieved and adequate support is provided to the business. Leadership & Management Communicate Company strategy/ actions to the team Empower the team for decision making Coach and support team members and set yearly targets for subordinates and conduct performance reviews on regular basis. Technical & Financial Leading yearly RAN budgeting exercise and ensures full alignment with all stakeholders Developing RAN Capex by translating commercial inputs into technical requirements Validating network plans and ensure alignment with Q-Tel international planning guidelines Leading RAN data analysis and highlight findings and recommend actions Leading analysis for traffic types, growth and distribution and establish useful studies Setting and agreeing network reporting schemes to upper management Leading initiatives and business cases evaluation for large scale projects Coordinating with vendors to ensure up to date RAN roadmap Coordinating with technical institute and ensures continuous engagement in the development in the ICT sector Ensuring network rollout and ordering is aligned with set yearly plan Following up on operations and maintenance setup and activities Playing major role in developing company's technical short term and long term plans Preparing presentations for EXCO and board paper once requested/ needed Preparing RFPs and large scale implementation plans Acting as a focal point for RAN and spectrum activities toward regulatory firms Preparing board papers and analysis for Board/ EXCO forums Acting as project manager for major company initiatives Preparing / conduct planning and technical strategy workshops Keeping a track of operation planning development and ensure adoption of best practices Acting as subject expert in technical areas and provide support in decision making |
RequirementsRequirementsYou must have a university degree with minimum 10+ years of total experience with at least 3 -5 years in management roles preferably reporting to director or executive levels experience. In addition you must have: * Deep experience with 2G(GSM, GPRS and EDGE)/ 3G (R99, HSDPA and HSPA) RAN is a must * Deep Experience with performance reporting and KPIs analysis is a must * Knowledge of major vendors' RAN products specially Ericsson and Huawei is preferred * Experience in budget planning is a must * Wimax/ LTE experience is a preferred * Experience in operations and maintenance principles is a must * High leadership skills * Strong personality * Strong follow up skills * Strong presentation skills * Must be proactive and team player. * Strong PC skills (E-mail, Microsoft Office, MS Project) * Professional and organized * Excellent command of English * Analytical * Aware of technology roadmaps and developments * Able to work under pressure * Work with high accuracy standards |
