Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The RM Planner is responsible for maintaining proper RM inventory to fulfill demand requirements of all Production Lines.

Major Accountabilities

1 Ensures right materials are available at the right time in the right quantity at the minimum cost.
- Ensures Packaging Materials are available in required quantity with required specification for production.
- Ensures timeliness of product delivery and the quality of the product delivered through frequent interaction with vendors.
- Identifies slow moving inventory and initiates supplier returns and /or works cross-functionally to devise ways to sell through the inventory.
- Assists in implementing supplier strategies with procurement.
- Reviews supplier performance and meets with suppliers to address issues and negotiate improvement opportunities and follow up steps in close coordination with Procurement dept.
- Works on process improvement teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Coordinates and communicates daily production, procurement and distribution plans.
- Responsible for managing inventory levels for assigned suppliers / product lines and developing / implementing plans as needed to achieve inventory turns goals.
- Develops and implements corrective action plans as needed to address service issues caused by supplier performance.
- Coordinates with suppliers and procurement to identify and reconcile gaps and supply shortages, providing an early warning system for issue identification.
- Works with demand planners to develop predefined scenarios for demand shaping or supply relocation, capacity to balance / optimize supply and demand.
- Expedites and devises alternative solutions to resolve backorders in a timely manner.
- Develops internal cross-functional relationships to enhance the planning process.
- Provide quarterly/monthly forecast for materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize stock level.
- Ensures safety stock is maintained.
- Runs MRP for packaging materials on weekly basis.
- Prepares and send out call off schedule to vendors.
- Follow up with vendors for timely receipt of materials.
- Works closely with procurement dept. and warehouse to follow up on orders and receipt status.
- Works in close partnership with Commercial, Manufacturing and Logistics during product retirement phase to ensure a smooth product delisting from companys portfolio in order to reduce raw material write offs.
- Notify procurement & vendor in case of receipt of out of spec. materials.
- Monitor production performance, changes in plan and arrange materials according to the revised plan.
- Analyze PRs for packaging materials created every day in the system.
- Release required PRs for approval.
- Check status of PRs and POs.
- Attend daily planning meeting and share daily KPIs.

2 Provides support during commercialization process to ensure timely launch of new products.
- Initiate CPA process for new products.
- Create, collect data for BOMs and Routings and obtain necessary approvals.
- Liaise with Marketing dept. for artworks.
- Avoid or reduce loss of material due to layout or formula change and adjust the procurement plan according to the requirement timely.
- Ensure all required new materials are made available in line with production plan.
- Complete the process according to the New product launch template with timelines.

3 Ensures Co-packing facility is effectively used to support AGL sales requirements
- Run MRP according to production schedule.
- Monitor inventory and raise PRs.
- Follow up with vendors on materials delivery.
- Request for materials transfer from Plant.
- Analyze material consumption and highlight variances if any.

4 Reports
- Packaging materials yields.
- Stock movements.
- Warehouse RM stock overview.

5 KPIs
- RM DOI.
- Inventory Turns.
- %OOS.
- Packaging Materials inventory at risk for write offs.
- Manufacturing Cost per case.
- USLE.

Requirements

- University Degree in any discipline or the equivalent experience.
- Experience with Forecasting or Demand Planning.
- APICs Certification or equivalent.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and ERP.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Basic negotiation, follow up, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Basic knowledge of descriptive statistics.
