Job description / Role
Our client is a regional developer with many profitable developments across the Middle East an Africa regions. They are looking for a Saudi Development Manager to work / lead development projects across Riyadh.
Role Description
Reporting into the Development Director, you main objective will be to oversee the complete development process which will include preparing necessary feasibility studies, the appointment of consultants, obtaining the necessary approvals both internally and externally to the Group, managing the consultant team (including all fee related issues), overseeing the design project costs, tendering, construction and marketing, liaison / coordination internally (especially Leasing & Operations Divisions) and relevant legal negotiations in order to hand over leased and completed properties.
You will also be responsible for the following:
1. Site evaluation and development appraisals.
2. Initiate and obtain the necessary approvals both internally and externally to the Group for defined projects.
3. Manage the process by which consultants and contractors are appointed and monitor their performance.
4. Ensure "Third Party" Project Managers provide adequate support in the design, tendering, consultant / contractor appointment and project execution.
5. Ensure the design, technical quality and performance specifications of the projects are achieved through to completion and handover.
6. Provide regular feedback with regard to project status and costs.
Requirements
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate must hold a University degree with a minimum of 7 years of Real Estate Development Experience. Due to the nature of this role, you will be expected to have strong business acumen with a proven track record of managing project budgets.
