Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The purpose of the Regional Quality Systems Manager is to lead the implementation of the organisation Quality Management Process across the Middle - East and African region and provide functional expertise for the rollout of Quality Management (Q&FS) modules at business units, manufacturing sites and Market units level.

Key Responsibilities

1.Business Unit QMP
- Define the scope and create the Regional Business procedures and records
- Train key stakeholders in their roles within the Business Quality Management Process
- Maintain the Regional Business QMP, including:
- Internal audit
- Corrective Actions / Preventative Actions (CAPA)
- Preparing the Business Management Review

2.Q&FS Standards
- Drive the implementation of Global & Segment Q&FS standards across the region
- Provide proactive gap assessment against existing standards, highlighting CI opportunities in existing standards or gaps where new standard development should be prioritized
- Define, track and report Regional Business Metrics, including responsibility for global reporting of incidents and metrics.
- Responsible for coordinating the Regional input to Global & Segment Q&FS standards

3.IT Systems
- R&D Functional Lead for deployment of ATLAS Q&FS (Trace & Retrieval and Testing & Conformance) at all META production sites.
- Functional Expert (responsible for training, CI etc) for:
- ATLAS Q&FS
- Nexus
- Veritas
- Responsible for the delivery of the Atlas QM rollout, which includes Testing & Conformance, Trace and Retrieval, Hold & Release for both Supply Chain Inbound and Outbound.

Requirements

This role requires a good understanding of quality management systems, quality and food safety principles, systems and processes, this includes but is not limited to testing and conformance, trace and retrieval (market and factory based), incident management and hold and release processes etc.

- Education: Must have a degree food science: food Technology, Process Engineering, Chemistry or Physics.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years experience within an R&D/ Quality environment is required, or experience in auditing of quality management systems
- Good knowledge and understanding of business excellence principles
- Comfortable and adept at operating in a matrix management structure with many indirect relationships
- A capable leader of teams and individuals and able to motivate and engage superiors, peers, indirect associates
- Delivers Consistent Results: Functional & Technical Skills, Organisational Agility, Priority Setting, command skills
- Creates Collaborative Relationships: Comfort Around Higher Management, Conflict management
- Engages Associates: Motivating Others
- Deep understanding of quality management systems
- Deep understanding of HACCP, food safety and Hygiene principles
- Minimum 2 years experience in FMCG environment where SAP ERP was used to manage Q&FS processes
