Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Due to our expanding portfolio of clients we are now seeking an experienced Regional Credit Control head the Credit Control department and manage 7 diverse companies across the GCC region, including Saudi, Lebanon and UAE.

You will play a key role in implementing policies and procedures for receivables management across the group and manage credit risk portfolio of around 100 Million to an acceptable level whilst maintaining profitability across board. Currently the receivables are collected through a sales team and are part of their deliverable targets, however when they struggle to collect you will be the first point of escalation for assistance.

Building strong relationships with clients is key. You will work to arrange 'win win' solutions for payment plans for any debt but also if necessary have the legal knowledge to implement and manage legal proceedings and court cases. In conjunction with collections management you will also be able to design and analyse all credit reporting required by the company for forward planning and issue resolution.

Given this is a regional role you will be required to travel from time to time, therefore it is preferred that the applicant is an Arabic Speaking Male.

The Finance Division is a crucial department for the organisation and as a result the candidate MUST portray professionalism and good practice of ethical traits throughout

The company operational requirements entail the candidate to work from Saturday through to Wednesday 8am – 6pm and Thursday 8am – 2pm.

Responsibilities


• Proactively manage debt collection on assigned portfolio of accounts
• Liaising with the sales team using generated report to determine credit management and payment forecasts
• Issuing statements to clients using established guidelines, deadlines, procedures and processes driven methodology.
• Agree payment plans with customers and ensure that they are adhered to
• Resolution of queries to facilitate payments from customers
• Prioritize and manage challenging workload whilst maintaining a high level of customers service and satisfaction
• Liaise and communicate with internal departments as required in order to maintain an accurate positions with customer accounts.
• Ensure that all prepared communications are accurately recorded and documented in a timely manner.
• Preparation of files for debt collection agencies.
• Prepare weekly reports on the credit control/ debtor.
• Assist in ad-hoc duties when required.

Requirements

• Arabic speaking males are of preference for this role.
• Must have Bachelor’s Degree within Business and Accounting
• Must have more than 3 years’ UAE/ GCC experience within credit management
• Good knowledge of credit related laws
• Expertise in legal management is highly desirable
• Willing to travel to customer sites within GCC regions
• Portray leadership, training, organisation and negotiation skills set.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel software
• The ideal candidate would need to be enthusiastic, a team player and have “can do” attitude
