The Role


My client is a leading technology services organization solely involved in providing technology solutions to the hospitality sector across the globe. They are currently seeking a Regional Director to be based in Hong Kong to establish a stronger Far East presence. You will be accountable for HK, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. The role will involve multiple responsibilities ranging from new BD, sales, growing an office from scratch and day to day management of operational activities. I have listed some core responsibilities below:
Aggressively acquire new business and retain current commercial partners, through the profitable delivery of new products & services within an allocated territory to optimize business growth, quality of service and customer satisfaction. Act as liaison between our partners (hotel, conference center or exhibit facility) and the customer (hotel guest, meeting planner, onsite coordinator or exhibit manager).
Find new business opportunities; drive revenue and quality processes at the partner location through proactive involvement with key staff members and their appropriate customers.
Provide excellent customer service to clients to facilitate 100% satisfaction.
Work closely with Pre-Sales, Field Engineering to ensure flawless delivery of deployments and events (e.g. managed conferences) to secure repeat business.
Mentor, manage & develop the partner relationship
(business partner and hotel owner) partner actively develop relationships and revenue opportunities with business partners in the regional hospitality industry
Main Activities:
Manage the day to day running affairs in the Far East.
Develop a sales pipeline across all our service offerings and deliver new business to both existing and prospective clients.
Manage directly business partner’s and hotel chain’s in a designated territory.
Educate and train property partners to provide a solid understanding of products and services respond to sales inquiries, customer needs and property requests.
Manage the quality processes at partner locations
Implement service recovery when required.
Review booked conference business and solicit sales, quote pricing to internal and (where appropriate) external customers.
Assist Sales Director in scheduling service and service delivery
Ensure swift payment of client invoices to keep Accounts Receivables/Bad Debt within acceptable tolerances.
Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities

Education:
- At least Secondary Education is mandatory.
- University Degree or College Diploma is preferable.

Qualities & Skills:
- At least 5 years experience in Sales/Account management and Business development
with a successful track record
- Experience in the Hotel industry or a similar international service industry
- Good general understanding of telecommunications, network and/or IP technologies
- Excellent listening, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to structure, organise, prioritize and solve problems as well as create reports
- Written and spoken English with fluency in Mandarin deemed a big plus
- Must have regional experience or a long term commitment to the Far East region.

- A significant experience in managed telecom services and Network LAN vendors,
- A strong experience in LANs, network, IP routing and VPN
- Understanding of Value Add Services in Managed Services operations
- Ability to process P&L analysis on project's (long) life cycles
- A deep background in RFP responses and analysis, the capacity to synthesize risks and exposures, the understanding of competitive market positioning,
- Financial know-how: ROI, P&L, TCO
- Strong project management skills
- The ability to communicate orally and in writing in English

People Management
