Regional Finance Manager - Middle East
An outstanding opportunity is open to an experienced Finance Manager to lead our regional finance function, developing IDP's finance capability and working effectively with our shared financial services team. This is a an influential senior finance role reporting to the Regional Director - Middle East and forms part of the Middle East Regional Management Team.
The role works closely with the IDP owned business units in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Egypt, and Turkey, as well as with our third party partners in Pakistan, Iran, Jordan, Libya, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Azerbaijan. As part of this role, you will be required to travel to all countries within the region to lead Finance activities.
Key responsibilities of the role are to:
- Contribute to setting and driving the Middle East Regions strategic direction for the business
- Jointly, with business leadership, develop and implement financial strategies and action plans to achieve financial objectives
- Coordinate and liaise with the Finance Shared Services team, ensuring the required support and responses are provided and agreed targets are achieved
- Evaluate the feasibility of new business opportunities with the Regional Director Middle East and the regional leadership team
- Lead the finance team in the Middle East region
Requirements
You will have a deep understanding of financial management, demonstrated success in leading a Finance function in a small to medium sized major local or multinational company and proven sales business partnership experience from a commercial management perspective.
Required professional background/ experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience managing a finance function with a major local or multinational company
- Proven experience working with a senior leader to set commercial strategy
- Post graduate degree or equivalent professional qualifications & certifications in Finance & Accounting. CA certification is preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively across the region (English/Arabic written and verbal required)
