Job description / Role
Our client is looking for a regional financial controller to be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of financial performance and areas of Compliance. In addition, the Regional Financial Controller will provide in-depth analysis and technical support to ensure financial statements are accurate at all times and in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP rules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure timely and complete monthly and quarterly reporting, at Regional and Sub-location level as required for management purposes.
- Ensure accurate balance sheet reporting through detailed periodic reviews of all legal entities within the Region.
- Establish central Treasury governance, proactively manage and minimize Foreign Exchange exposure
- Manage the periodic audit process for all entities within the Region
- Act as technical accounting expert to support finance teams within the Region and be the point of contact with the Group Finance team for any accounting matters.
- Governance of Employment Liabilities Function, including ownership of ensuring transactional data is shared with Dubai Central Services for recording on a monthly basis, and that entries are recorded accurately.
- Review and continually improve revenue and cost recognition processes, ensure appropriate communication of changes across all departments.v
Requirements
- Must have an Accounting Qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
- Excellent English communication skills
- The candidate must be willing to travel to Asia, Africa and Middle east. 3-4 trips per annum
- Minimum of five years of post qualification experience in a large multi national company
- Western educated candidates will be preferred.
