Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Core Purpose of Job:
•Effectively support the region by managing the fleet, shop fridges and depot facilities.

Areas of Responsibility (AOR)
1.To ensure the cost of fleet repair & maintenance is within budget.
2.To ensure Fleet presentability & condition comply with company standards.
3.To ensure depots, villas, fridges, cold stores, and operational equipments are maintained in a very good condition.
4.To build a strong Fleet Maintenance Team through training and coaching.
5.To ensure all internal and external customers are given very good customer service.
6.To ensure purchased maintenance materials are meeting company standards and are stored in a safe condition.
7.To maintain Health & Safety standards in all the regional workshops.
8.To ensure the maintenance of shop fridges by adhering to fridge maintenance schedules and standards.
9.To equip himself with the operational knowledge about shop fridges in tropical environmental conditions.

Activities:
1.Managing the fleet repair and maintenance work system for efficiency and adherence to standards.
2.Preparing fleet repair & maintenance budget for the following year and justifying the same.
3.Monitoring and controlling spares purchase & stock level.
4.Monitoring and controlling the running cost of fleet.
5.Monitoring the fleet utilization details of vans, cooling units and cars, and highlighting to GSM –when necessary.
6.Keeping an account of the number of vans, cars, fridges & HHTs within the region.
7.Ensuring the scheduling to attend the shop fridge complaints in the shortest possible time.
8.Ensuring the shifting of fridges between shops as requested by sales team.
9.Ensuring regular servicing of HHT printers by concerned technicians.
10.Extending technical assistance to Logistics in maintaining the depot and accommodations.
11.Monitoring the fleet for proper up-keep by the users.
12.Accident investigations and reporting to all concerned and completing the insurance claim formalities.
13.Ensuring safe work practices in workshops.
14.Keeping safe custody of van registration card & load permit and scheduling the timely renewal of them. Highlighting the user damages on the fleet, and effectively controlling them.
15.Monitoring any performance problem on vehicles /components, and referring to suppliers- in consultation with DFM.
16.Carrying out special assignments as advised by GSM then and there.
17.Developing ITPs for the fleet staff, and developing the fleet staff to the required standard, by training.
18.Managing all personnel issues related to fleet staff (vacations scheduling, contract renewals, performance appraisal, new staff induction, etc).
19.Assisting the regional team in disposing the used fleet.
20.Monitoring the drive capability of the staff, who will be assigned with company vehicle?
21.Effectively managing the health & safety activities in the region in co-ordination with other functions – Assist Logistics and other departments in technical issues pertaining to H&S
22.Ensuring “Cost Saving”- wherever possible without compromising quality and safety.
23.Monitoring the operational kilometers and approving trip allowances to the staff.
24.Scheduling, and monitoring the servicing of the fridges.
25.Ensuring efficiency in attending shop fridge complaints in the market.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Essential
•Graduate in Engineering with two years experience OR
•Diploma in Engineering with five years experience
•Computer literacy: Microsoft Office
Desirable.
•Driving license

Experience:
Essential responsibilities executed (Generic Description)
•5 years experience in Fleet Management involving suppliers/ customers environment.
•Experience in a fleet over 100 vehicles and in a multicultural environment
Desirable responsibilities (Generic Description)
•Exposure in refrigeration engineering. related to transport refrigeration and cold store.
Competencies (Technical, Operational, Managerial, Human & Cultural Requirements):

Knowledge, Skills and Attitude
•Knowledge on truck refrigeration systems, vehicle engineering, refrigerated display system, and basic computer systems is desirable.
•Driving license.
•Leadership skills, good communication & coordination skills.
•Computer literacy
