The RoleThe RoleRegional Head of Legal, Global Bank, DIFC, Dubai, UAE About Our Client Our client is a top investment bank with an extensive private wealth management division. Located in 36 countries employing over 65,000 people our client is well capitalised with an AUM of over $850bn Manage all legal issues relating to the private bank mitigating risk Overview of the role The successful candidate will act as strong risk management function effectively monitoring and managing legal risk relating to business sourced locally and booked in Geneva, London, Singapore and KSA. You will support colleagues based in the GCC and wider MENA region Core accountabilities: • Support the local business in their day to day activities, including advising on introductory KBI arrangements, Independent Asset Managers arrangements and references. • Pro-active and timely identification and management of legal risk arising in the conduct of business in the region • Advise, consultant and develop local and global legal risk policies. • Manage external support as is required. |
RequirementsRequirementsProfile: The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial services. This experience should have been gained in-house within a financial services institution and / or in private practice with a magic circle law firm. You will have excellent technical knowledge and analytical skills, strong drafting skills, be highly organised, motivated, pro-active and professional. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate clear commercial application of legal knowledge and have the ability to deal with all senior stakeholders throughout the organisation.
