Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leader in the provision of tools, applications and leading technology to the construction industry. They are now looking for a seasoned Regional Product Manager to be responsible for the overall direction, co-ordination and control of all Marketing activities of the designated product business unit (BUs) across the Middle East region in order to maximize sales and sustainable profitable growth opportunities in addition to desired market leadership status.

The main objective of the role would be to deliver readymade strategies and plug and play concepts for the organisations across the Middle East region.

The geographical scope would encompass Middle East Region including the countries of KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iran, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Pakistan.

Candidates MUST be available on 1 month notice or less.

Understand the relevant market:
- To gather continuous intelligence on the market, product line performance and customers.
- To capture new challenges and opportunities to enable cohesive strategy formulation and corrective actions to be implemented where necessary. To base all marketing activities on solid market understanding:
- Gain a good understanding of customers needs / behaviors and applications pertaining to the product line
- Capture competitors activities and assess on a regular basis BU competitiveness
- Distribute market intelligence and analysis to appropriate personnel
- React as appropriate to market dynamics and competitors activities
- Fact Base to feed trade / PLS strategies, INPs, BOD

Create Awareness:
- Integration and execution of corporate brand management campaigns to increase customers awareness, consideration and preference of the offering
- Act as a brand ambassador
- Ensure compliance with CI/CD guidelines for all marketing material
- Understand the concept behind our brand identity and the related elements of innovation, performance, service partner
- Focus upon the benefits of the customers, align actions with words and act with integrity

Deliver superior value:
- To ensure all product marketing activities / initiatives have one end goal in mind: deliver value for money for customers through a differentiated product and service offering at the right price premiums
- Manage the existing portfolio competitiveness / product lifecycle and devise suitable corrective actions to increase value for money whenever necessary (i.e. product replacement, product facelift, price repositioning, campaigns) through appropriate PLS strategies
- Constantly revitalize the portfolio with new product introductions to optimize customers applications needs / deliver a differentiated product / service offering compared to other suppliers
- Coordinate closely for the development of new products and subsequent marketing strategies to ensure proper integration of the customers voice
- Devise and manage product lifecycle measures (e.g. promotions, phase out, punning)
- Drive the growth of strategically important product lines through MCS (i.e. steer MCS participations, product line penetration and coverage)
- To ensure a proper communication of the offering / value proposition to customers increasing their value for money perception
- BTS (Basic Training Seminars) to provide new joiners with the basic application / product information
- Define the killer value proposition: killer arguments, killer demos for key product lines
- Train the trainer concept and passing the knowledge to the different MO marketing teams across the region
- Ensure the MO marketing teams pass the same message to all MCS for a single and consistent message to the customers
- Fully manage and co-ordinate product promotion and sales incentive actions

Promoting Opportunity to Purchase:
- To ensure continuity of supply by adopting a consultative role with Logistics, Purchasing and Specials (where appropriate) to support demand planning activities
- Align with logistics marketing activities roadmap and define implications on the supply chain
- Transfer to logistics market trends and define implications on the supply chain

Ensure Sustainable Loyalty:
- To coordinate the corrective and preventive measures within the complaint management system to enable a seamless resolution of customer dissatisfaction regarding product related issues.
- Understand and apply GPMS for new product introductions
- Manage necessary and preventative actions for product related complaints
- Coordinate resolution of warranty issues above prescribed compensation levels

Requirements

- Engineering education
- Top MBA (it becomes a must have in case of no marketing experience)
- Consultancy background
- 5 years + experience
- Marketing experience is a must
- Construction industry is a must
- Leadership - management of people
- Strategic / conceptual thinking, strong track record in getting results, excellent influencing and communication skills
- Functional Expertise: knowledge, skills, experience
- Understanding the Business: industry, customers
- Understanding and defining what needs to be done: ability to identify, analyze, prioritize, develop and prepare
- Getting things done: ability to implement, monitor, prioritize, correct, communicate and achieve
- Working with others: focus on teamwork, involvement, work environment
- Developing yourself and others: continuous drive to develop, coach, as well as give and receive constructive feedback
