Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Henkels purchasing business unit has a cross-divisional and global structure. Due to the importance of the worldwide business, some of the purchasing positions are centralized in the regional HUBs.

Develops and implements a regional purchasing logistics strategy in a close collaboration with the respective teams.
Identification and execution of Regional / Local saving projects for area of responsibility.
Accomplishing the Category Projects derived from the Global Category Strategy for Henkel under compliance of Purchasing Logistics Strategies.
Ensures that Henkel gets the optimal terms & conditions and quality with the right supplier portfolio for the Logistics categories [Warehousing, Road-Transportation, Sea- & Airfreight, Express & Parcel, and Log Equipment] for all three business units and Corporate Functions.
Drives further transparency into current purchasing and supplier landscape and develops focus supplier (Strategic consolidation concepts).
Ensures that the purchasing strategy and policies internal value partner needs and contributes to the overall corporate objectives and performances.
Assess and develops focus suppliers for continuous improvement of service quality along with identifying the engineering and operations of the business units improvement projects leading to price reduction, total cost of ownerships (TCO) and service improvement.
Being a true entrepreneur within the purchasing business unit and proactively participate in a virtual regional / global team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Industrial Engineering or any related discipline.
Holding an MBA is an advantage.
3-5 years of work experience in a multinational business environment.
Strong Negotiation and Communication skills.
Logistics knowledge and expertise is a plus.
Fluent in English Language (Verbal and Written).
Strong Interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Pro-active person.
Mobility and flexibility.
Excellent MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills.
