Regional Quality & Assurance Manager - MENA

The Main Purpose of the role:
- To ensure that all Del Monte products are produced and handled in a manner that will maintain their wholesomeness.
- To advise operating units on food safety related rules and regulations.
-To organize research related to food safety with emphasis on fresh cut p rojects.
- To audit MENA facilities for compliance to food safety standards.

The main areas of responsibility:
- Oversee all aspects of Quality Assurance operations in MENA region related to Quality Control and Customer Relations.
- Functionally provide support for all QA Operations in MENA region.
- Coordinate Quality Assurance integration with port operations, , vessel discharge, truck loading, and warehouse inventory management as related to quality assurance.
- Contribute to Development or modification of the standard specification for incoming products when appropriate.
- Revise and maintain procedure manual and corporate policies in the area of food safety.
- Develop professional relationships and continue education in matters related to food safety.
- Contribute to development of standard specifications for fresh cut products.
- Maintain and improve the food safety auditing program for DCs, packing houses, and processing facilities.

Requirements

- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in an area related to food service
- Minimum 6 to 8 years experience
- Working knowledge of FDA rules and guidelines related to food processing
- Knowledge of government inspection procedures and regulations.
- Excellent Communication skills
- Agricultural knowledge
- Water and food analysis
- HACCP
