Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Drive sales of marine transmission, thrusters and propulsion system components, spare parts and technical services within the assigned sales area
2. Act as hands on key account manager for key customer accounts like major OE customers, shipyards, strategic customers etc. Be responsible for direct sales with customers including promoting, quoting, and contracting. Manage existing client base and develop potential new customers across all section of marine industry, in particular ship building.
3. Build strong relationships with stake holders in the industry to continuously promote sales of company's marine equipment
4. Be responsible for the sales budget for the marine business and responsible for achieving top line targets as well as gross margin targets in the dedicated sales area.
5. Manage team of sales and application engineers in all facets of sales activities including proposal development, price negotiation and client management. Maintain active contact with potential ship owners in the region and promote company products and components to be used onboard their new building programs in China and elsewhere facilitating indirect sales visa sales team from other branch offices
6. Be responsible for developing and implementing country/territory wise strategies
7. Be responsible for budget development, target setting, assigning responsibilities, tracking, reporting review control
8. Support the organization and participate in trade fairs and shows
9. Actively travel in the entire Middle East region (including Egypt) and South Asia with active combining of market.
10. Manage large scale projects in Middle East and South Asia region, and oversee full spectrum of duties related to project management including resolving technical and commercial issues, conducting project reviews, risk management, control of internal and external communications
11. Functionally manage the other regional sales and services offices in Kuwait & Qatar, network of dealers in the region and technical service branch in India. Devise and maintain strong follow up and reporting processes to ensure goals are achieved and customer focus is maintained.
12. Establish and manage partner cooperation and relations as required
13. Make strategic sales plans and support the management in defining periodic business plans and annual budgets
14. Gather market information and data about competitors

Requirements

Engineering background preferred with exposure in marine environment.
A minimum of 8 years of direct sales experience with marine equipment preferred
A Background of working in shipyard / sailing on ships and such related hands on experience would be an added advantage
Good understanding of basic Marine environment, basics of propulsion, components / elements in a marine drive line, types of propulsion systems etc.
Proactive personality, hands on mentality, self motivated
Organized, target oriented, able to work under pressure
Experience with MS Office: Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint
